The first Weir was constructed of rocks to divert the river on both sides to feed the Flannel Mill and the Corn Mill
In the 1890‘s the new Weir & Fishpass was constructed
The River Teify meanders around the Castle meadow to the Weir & Fishpass
This is the weir around 1960
This was taken in 2000. Lack of maintenance and repair has taken its toll of the weir. The leet on the right is still in use but the left hand side wall, sluice and leet has gone.
